CONTENTS
The I.S.E.O. Summer School is reserved to graduate students (Masters and PhD) notably in Economics and in Finance, teaching assistants, researchers and young professionals.
The upcoming edition – entitled “The post pandemic world economy” – will investigate some of the biggest issues affecting global economy, including the huge impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
While we hope to welcome as many students as possible in person in the near future in the town of Iseo (Northern Italy) – in the past editions we have hosted more than 1.000 participants from 103 countries and 366 universities – we know that this may not yet be an option for the upcoming summer, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. That is why, for the first time ever, we are offering an online Summer School: though at distance, we’ll offer a unique course, maintaining almost all the peculiarities that make our Summer School special: multicultural background, informal atmosphere and interactive lectures.
Conducted entirely in English, the I.S.E.O. Summer School is based on a fair combination between lectures followed by Q&A sessions and social activities online: participants will follow the same academic program we usually offer to on-site participants and will have the same chance to participate, ask questions, join Q&A and attend “Your lecture” sessions.
We will also organize leisure time activities online, such as cooking classes, books presentations and short virtual tours.
“YOUR LECTURE”: PRESENT YOUR PAPER
The I.S.E.O. Institute will give a few participants the chance to present their paper in front of the whole group of students and, possibly, of some speakers. Papers will be discussed during “Your Lecture” sessions.
APPLICATION
Applications must be received by the 2nd of May 2021: in order to apply, applicants must fill in the application form at downloadable at https://www.istiseo.org/summerschool/summer-school-2021/
Summer School admissions work on a rolling basis until applications close on the 2nd of May 2021.
FEE AND SCHOLARSHIPS
The online I.S.E.O. Summer School 2021 fee amounts to:
1.100 Euro for graduate students;
1.500 Euro (+ Vat, if applicable) for professionals;
I.S.E.O. Institute awards talented applicants with several partial scholarships amounting to 500 Euro. Hence, awarded participants have to pay only the remaining part of the fee, namely 600 Euro.
The fee, which must be paid by the 20th of May 2021, includes:
participation to all the lectures and Q&A sessions organized during the Summer School;
reading materials;
speakers’ slides;
on demand access to recorded Summer School lectures;
attendance certificate;
participation to social activities online.
