The IMF offers exciting and wide-ranging career opportunities for students pursuing both undergraduate and graduate degrees in Economics, where they can balance their academic interests with meaningful contributions on the world stage. We are planning to host a one-hour virtual Information Session involving several universities in your region on Friday, November 12 at 11AM, and we wanted to extend an invitation to your Economics students who may be interested in learning more about career opportunities at the IMF. We will share with you the link to access the online session closer to the date.

Recruitment programs that we will showcase are outlined below and in the attached fliers. The session will also cover the role of the IMF and how we organize our work to support our member countries:

►   We are currently accepting applications online via Economist Program (imf.org)

  • Fund Internship Program (FIP), for current PhD students returning to university studies after completing the internship which runs for 10-12 weeks between June and October.

  • Research Assistant Program (RAP), for students in the final year of undergraduate study in Economics and currently on target to graduate with a cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0 or upper-second class honors.
