[Job Summary]

Nexon is an industry-leading company in online gaming, listed in Tokyo Stock Exchange with main places of business in Tokyo, Seoul and LA. We are looking to recruit a talented, passionate corporate strategy and business development (“CSBD”) associate/analyst, who can help us drive investments, acquisition and other strategic initiatives to bring next-level growth opportunities and development for the company’s future. Reporting to CSO and closely engaging with the executive management, this position offers a great opportunity to be involved in strategic planning and corporate development endeavors on a global scale in one of the most exciting, vibrant, innovative industries.

 

[Responsibilities]
– Actively participate in corporate strategic planning process working across businesses and functions to frame the underlying corporate strategy, evaluate, recommend, and drive alignment on key initiatives and guide resource allocation

– Assist in all aspects of transactions, including preliminary research, strategy formation, developing business cases, due diligence, deal execution and integration

– Research and analyze secondary market research to provide support for the team in corporate development, strategic and M&A activities

– Prepare valuation models and presentations which outline the strategic rationale for transactions

– Manage portfolio companies after investment/acquisition and seek better ways to create synergy

 

[Qualifications]
– Recent undergraduate from global top-tier university with a high degree of academic achievements or ~2 years of professional or internship experience from top-tier management consulting, investment banks, or corporate development organization at leading gaming, media, entertainment companies
– Data savvy with the ability to drill down and identify key drivers and communicate insightful, actionable recommendations
– Strong documentation skills and proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint, and finance tools (e.g. Bloomberg, Factset, etc.)
– Detail oriented with good verbal and written communication skills in English and Korean (must)
– A team player with excellent interpersonal skills and interests in global gaming and interactive media
– Ability to be rotated to CSBD HQ office in LA for 3-6 month (preferred, depending on the needs)
