Dear Colleagues,

We are happy to announce that the Young Economist Symposium (YES) will be hosted  fully in person this year at Yale University on August 19 – 20, 2022. This is a call for submissions.

YES is an entirely student-run and student-led conference which rotates between UPenn, Princeton, Yale, NYU, and Columbia. Its purpose is to provide opportunities for graduate students from different schools to meet, present their research, and network.

There is no fee for submitting to or registering for the conference. However, we expect attendees to provide their own accommodation and travel.

Due to the high volume of very polished submissions in past years, we are slightly changing the submission structure so that students with less research experience have more opportunities to receive feedback and drive the discussion. You must now designate whether you are entering the 6th year of a PhD program (or if you are more advanced) as of the Fall 2022 semester. Instructions are also available on our website, YES 2022.

To submit a paper, you must make an account with Microsoft CMT. The submission website is https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/YES2022. Please anonymize your paper before submitting. The due date for submissions is May 15, 2022. Submissions are welcome in all fields, but papers must have only student authors (no faculty). By submitting a paper, we expect that you anticipate coming to present in person, if accepted.

Students who are not presenting are also invited to attend. To sign up to attend, fill out this form: YES 2022 Attendance Form.

For more information, please visit the conference website, YES 2022.  All pertinent information will be posted there.

We look forward to hearing from you.

The YES 2022 Team, Yale University
